About the project

It might seem easy, open a google maps and you know where to go, right? Well, not really. The term ‘beer’ is probably one of the most used in Czech culture, so it is not surprising that people hardly know where to go for a good beer.

After the Covid era, Google maps like Ghost town are full of defunct bars and it’s really hard to click through it all. Of course there are a few beer apps as well, but they either don’t cover all the places or don’t distinguish the quality enough. With a beer passport, you not only have a tangible memento in your hand, but comprehensive information about each bar, and on top of that, benefits and discounts that no app will give you.
The aim of the project is to support a small scene that is still passionate about beer innovation, experimentation and honest craft. Something that mass production can’t offer you. Behind these ventures are often brewers themselves, or at least enthusiasts who share the same respect and dedication to craft. Let’s get to know and support them together!

Our mission

To make it easier to find great places and give lots of benefits to everyone who joins our beer community.

Our values

To support small breweries and businesses that provide you with maximum quality.

“Thanks to my passion for gastronomy and travel, I found myself in Mexico, where I had the opportunity to discover a beautiful project to support the local community of coffee enthusiasts and growers. I liked the project so much that I started thinking about us and the Czech beer community in the same way, and that’s how it all started…”

Tereza Esopová

I’ve had the best beers in Ireland, Vietnam and Mexico, but I can’t get enough of Czech production. One thing I’ve noticed on my travels, though, is that the beer community everywhere is extremely open and warm. No matter where I go, I know I can meet someone from ‘here’, a member of the family. Beer bars are clearly the glue of society, because even in this day and age they can provide a backdrop for socialising.

I love that the craft beer community is changing the way we look at drinking beer. It’s no longer drunk because it’s normal to drink, but because it provides an endless amount of surprises and exciting flavors. It’s not a marathon to the point of dumbness, but a test of your taste buds’ alertness! Craft beer people know how to enjoy beer, they like to evaluate it, and they enjoy good company.

I made the Beer Passport really varied, so you can look forward to a trip to the Prokopské valley, boarding a ship or sitting in a tram compartment or having a beer in a bookstore. And maybe you’ll even meet me and we’ll chat about beer, life and all. My favorite beer style is West Coast IPA and yours?
